Online is safer, even on a Tuesday.

Yes, you can probably buy on site without much wait in October on a weekday. But I’d still book online.

Off-peak season means shorter lines, sure. But “probably” is doing a lot of work there. One surprise school group, one ticketing system glitch, one person ahead of you with a complicated voucher — and suddenly you’re killing 20 minutes you could have spent exploring. As a solo traveler, you don’t have a friend to hold your spot or entertain you while you wait. Every minute wasted is yours alone.

Plus, online booking often lets you pick a time slot, skip the ticket window entirely, and guarantee entry if capacity caps exist. The peace of mind is worth the small extra fee (if there even is one). I’d rather have my phone scanned and walk right in.

You’re traveling solo to enjoy yourself, not to stand in line.
