PackIt is still the move for frozen-in lunch boxes

The best lunch box with built-in ice is PackIt’s freezable line — the whole bag freezes, so there’s no separate cold pack to forget.

PackIt has gel built into the walls of the bag. You fold it flat and throw the whole thing in the freezer overnight. In the morning, the bag is the ice pack. It keeps sandwiches, yogurt, cheese, and even drinks cold until lunch. No loose ice packs sliding around, nothing to forget in the wash.

The downsides are real but minor: the bag takes up freezer space, it’s heavier than a regular insulated bag, and you have to remember to freeze it the night before.
