Syd Barrett’s personal writings—letters, poems, and notebook scribbles—have been quoted in biographies like Syd Barrett: A Very Irregular Head by Rob Chapman and Endless River: The Story of Syd Barrett. These fragments show his artistic mind but were never intended for publication. David Gilmour and Rick Wright didn’t keep published diaries, though Gilmour’s Lyrics book includes original manuscripts.
