Physical sunscreen is the move for sensitive skin.
Yes.
Physical (mineral) sunscreen is almost always better for sensitive skin than chemical sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens soak into your skin and convert UV rays into heat, which can trigger irritation, redness, or even allergic reactions in people with sensitive skin. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide—the main ingredients in physical sunscreens—just sit on top and reflect UV away. Less chance of a reaction.
The trade-off is that physical sunscreens can feel thicker or leave a white cast, especially if you have darker skin. But newer micronized formulas are way better than they used to be. If your skin is cranky, skip the chemical stuff.
I’d still patch test any sunscreen, but physical is the safer bet.
