Piggies.
The burglary at George Harrison’s Esher home in 1968 directly inspired the line “clutching forks and knives to eat their bacon” in “Piggies.”
George came home to find the place ransacked. Instead of getting mad, he turned the burglars into a metaphor for greedy, hypocritical people. That image of them eating with forks and knives—like polite savages—stuck with him.
It’s one of those Beatles details that makes the White Album even weirder and better.
