Pink Floyd's "Echoes" was originally called something much sillier.

It was “The Return of the Son of Nothing.”

During the Meddle sessions, the band was jamming out what would become a 23-minute epic. They needed a working title, so someone — probably Roger Waters — came up with a parody of the schlocky horror film The Return of the Son of Dracula. Hence “The Return of the Son of Nothing.” They eventually dropped that for the much better “Echoes.”

Titles were never their strong suit before the lyrics came in.
