Pool floats work in a pinch, but they'll fight you
You can absolutely use a pool float for water yoga, but it’ll be wobbly as hell unless you pick the right one. Most of them are made for lounging, not balancing.
Standard single-person floats are narrow, slippery, and roll the second you shift your weight. The ones shaped like a fish or a chair are even worse — your feet have no real landing zone. Water yoga mats are thicker, wider, and have a grippy surface for a reason. A pool float just doesn’t have the same base.
