Yes, if you’re currently on 8GB or less. Visual Studio plus the compiler plus a browser will easily chew through 8GB, and hitting swap kills compile times. Jumping to 16GB gives you breathing room.
But if you’re already at 16GB, more RAM won’t help much with a 50-file project. The bottleneck is usually disk speed or CPU. An SSD (especially NVMe) will cut compile times more than going to 32GB. Make sure you’re not on a spinning hard drive.
If you’ve got an SSD and 16GB, you’re fine. If you’re at 8GB, upgrade. If you’re at 16GB and still slow, look at the CPU or the code itself.
