Protein first. Carbs are garnish.
Packing a keto bento is easier than it sounds: lead with protein, use fat as the glue, and treat carbs like a garnish instead of a base.
Fill the biggest compartment with sliced chicken thigh, steak, leftover pork, or hard-boiled eggs. Give it a generous portion — this is your actual lunch. The second compartment is for fat: cheese cubes, olives, almonds, or 5% Greek yogurt. That fat is what keeps you full on keto, so don’t skip it.
Then use the small slots for high-crunch, low-carb veggies: cucumber, celery, bell pepper strips, or a few cherry tomatoes. They add freshness without blowing your carb budget. Avoid anything that rolls like rice, noodles, or potatoes, and be careful with sauces — teriyaki and sweet chili are sugar bombs. Go with mustard, olive oil, or a tiny bit of ranch.
If you’re tracking macros, you can hit under 10 net carbs easily with this setup. The main trap is nuts and yogurt, so measure those once and you’ll be fine.
Your lunchbox never has to be sad about missing bread.
