PTFE spray is for hard mousepads only.
I would not use PTFE spray on a soft cloth mousepad.
Hard pads (glass, plastic, aluminum) are non-porous, so the spray sits on top and reduces friction smoothly. Over time it wears off, and you just reapply. That’s fine.
Cloth pads are porous. The lubricant soaks in, dries unevenly, attracts dust and lint, and creates patches of sticky or slippery glide. A month later you’ll have a mousepad that feels worse than when you started.
If you want faster glide on cloth, get a faster cloth pad or hard feet. Spraying lubricant onto a soft surface is asking for a mess.
Your mousepad will thank you.
