Put Body Glide on before you suit up.
Yes, it works. Swimwear chafing is friction, and friction needs a barrier. The simplest fix is an anti-chafe balm — Body Glide is the classic, but any stick or cream that’s waterproof and sweat-proof will do. Apply it to your inner thighs, underarms, or anywhere the suit rubs before you get wet.
Don’t overthink the suit itself. A snug fit helps, but loose straps or seams that dig in are the real culprits. If the suit is old or stretched out, that’s probably the source. Salt water and sand make everything worse — they act like sandpaper on wet skin. Rinse off after swimming and change out of a wet suit quickly.
If you’re caught without a balm, a solid deodorant stick (not gel) can get you through a day at the beach. Your inner thighs will thank you.
