Quiet mode won't make it safe.

I wouldn’t run a robot vacuum while you sleep, quiet mode or not.

The noise isn’t the real issue. It’s the fire risk and the stuck robot. Robot vacuums have lithium batteries and small motors that can overheat. Unlikely? Sure. But do you want to wake up to a smoldering Roomba because a cord got wrapped around the brush and the motor locked up? Quiet mode doesn’t change that physics.

You also won’t hear it when it inevitably gets stuck on a rug tassel or starts beeping at 3 AM. That’s not a safety hazard, but it’s annoying enough to ruin your sleep anyway. Plus, you’ll miss the chance to pick up loose cables or pet toys that could jam it or get dragged.

Run it during the day when you’re around to intervene. The quiet mode is for when you’re watching TV, not sleeping.

Future you will thank you for not waking up to a fire alarm.
