RAM upgrade takes about ten minutes, max.
Maybe fifteen if you’re being careful. The actual swapping is five minutes—the rest is unscrewing the case and putting it back together.
For a desktop: power off, unplug, open side panel, push the clips, pull out old sticks, line up the notch, push in new sticks until they click. That’s it. Laptops can be slightly trickier if you have to remove a bottom panel or battery, but still under fifteen.
The only variable is whether you’ve done it before. First time? Watch a two-minute video. Second time? You’ll be done before your coffee finishes brewing.
You are not rebuilding an engine. You are plugging in Lego.
