Does the M.2 slot support both NVMe and SATA protocols?
No. The M.2 slot on the M75q Gen 2 is NVMe-only (PCIe). It will not accept or recognize a SATA M.2 SSD. You must use a 2.5-inch SATA drive for SATA storage.
