The Intel NUC 7 Baby Canyon has no NVMe limitations — both M.2 and SATA work fine
The Intel NUC 7 Baby Canyon’s M.2 slot fully supports NVMe at PCIe 3.0 x4 speeds, and it won’t interfere with the separate 2.5-inch SATA bay at all — you can run both simultaneously. No lane-sharing gotchas, no bandwidth compromises. For a tiny NUC, this is about as good as storage flexibility gets for its generation.
