The MSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK runs DDR5 up to 6800 MHz with XMP 3.0

The MSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK splits the difference nicely. It’s a B-series board, but MSI pushed the DDR5 ceiling to 6800 MHz — that’s closer to Z-series territory without the Z-series price tag.

The board supports Intel XMP 3.0, which is the modern standard for one-click memory overclocking. XMP 3.0 is a genuine improvement over earlier versions: it stores up to five profiles (three locked by the vendor, two user-configurable), which makes tuning and reusing settings across kits much easier. For the B760 TOMAHAWK, it means you can buy a 6400 or 6600 MHz DDR5 kit, enable XMP, and get close to that 6800 MHz ceiling without manual tweaking.

6800 MHz is a solid middle ground. Faster than most B-series boards, not quite as extreme as the Z-series flagships, but more than enough for gaming and productivity workloads.
