The M920q gives you two storage paths — one M.2 2280 slot running NVMe over PCIe 3.0 x4, and a 2.5-inch SATA III bay limited to 7mm drives. Just don’t try to fit a 3.5-inch drive in there; the compact chassis won’t accommodate it.
