Reballing soldered RAM voids the warranty — obviously

Yes, it will void it.

Reballing is a serious modification — you’re desoldering the original RAM chips and soldering new ones onto the motherboard. No laptop manufacturer is going to honor a warranty after that. Even if you do a clean job, the solder joints and board will show signs of rework. They’ll know.

Warranty terms explicitly exclude damage from modifications, improper repair, or use of non-authorized parts. Reballing hits all three.

If you’re doing this on a machine that’s already out of warranty, that’s your call. On an in-warranty laptop? Don’t even think about it. The risk of bricking the board is high too, but warranty alone is reason enough to say no.
