Refill stations are everywhere. Bring a reusable bottle.
Yes, there are — in almost any public space worth visiting. Airports, train stations, gyms, malls, office buildings, museums, and many city parks have water refill stations or drinking fountains. Even events and festivals usually have hydration stations if they’re halfway competent.
Tap water in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, most of Europe, and Japan is perfectly safe. If you’re in a place where it’s not, you’ll know because everyone will be buying bottled water. Otherwise, a reusable bottle is cheaper, better for the environment, and you’ll never be stuck.
One caveat: if you’re going to a very remote area or a country with questionable tap water, bring a filter bottle (like a LifeStraw or Grayl). But for daily life, refill stations are the norm now.
Save the money and the plastic. Buy a solid 32oz stainless steel bottle and never think about it again.
