Reinforce the holes before they tear

The best way to stop spiral notebook pages from tearing out is to reinforce the holes with clear tape or adhesive hole reinforcements before they rip. Once the paper is torn, you’re just patching; if you catch it early, pages last as long as you need them.

Most spiral pages tear because the paper around the holes gets weak from all the flipping and bending. A cheap fix: lay the notebook flat and run a strip of clear packing tape over the entire row of holes on both sides. Or use the donut-shaped hole reinforcements from any office supply store — those are designed for exactly this. Do it when the notebook is new and you’ll never have to think about it again.

Also worth doing: change how you turn pages. Don’t yank them outward from the spiral
