RGB mousepads don't interfere with wireless mice.

No, the LEDs won’t mess with your 2.4 GHz signal. I’ve tested this myself with a few different setups and never seen a problem.

The RGB lighting runs on low-voltage DC power. The controllers are simple PWM circuits operating at a few hundred hertz at most. That’s not going to generate electromagnetic interference at 2.4 GHz. The dongle and mouse communicate on a completely different frequency band. If you’re getting dropouts, it’s almost always distance, USB port placement, or a bad dongle, not the glowing mousepad.

The only edge case I’d mention is a really cheap no-name mousepad with a poorly shielded USB pass-through hub. That hub could introduce noise, but that’s a cable/hub problem, not the LEDs themselves. Stick with a decent brand and you’re fine.

Don’t blame the pretty lights.
