Rick Wright and Zee: The Forgotten 1984 Synth-Pop Album 'Identity'

Rick Wright co-wrote, played keyboards and synthesizers, and shared lead vocals with Dave Harris (ex-Fashion) on the 1984 album Identity. The duo called themselves Zee, and Wright handled most of the melodic and atmospheric elements while Harris drove the drum machines and rhythm programming. It was Wright’s first major project after being pushed out of Pink Floyd during The Wall era, and he saw it as a chance to experiment with electronic pop.

The album was largely ignored for a few hard reasons. First, it was released on the tiny Harvest label with almost no promotion—Wright later said he regretted not releasing it under his own name
