Ringo Starr was the last Beatle to join.
Yes. He replaced Pete Best in August 1962, just a few months before “Love Me Do” hit and everything exploded.
The other three had been playing together since 1960 (or earlier if you count John and Paul meeting in 1957). Ringo didn’t even play on their early German recordings — that was Pete Best on drums. By mid-1962, George Martin decided Best wasn’t good enough, so they dumped him and brought in Ringo, who had already sat in with them a few times.
So Ringo was the final piece. Without him, no “Ringo Starr drum solo” memes and probably no “Ticket to Ride” either.
