Rinse it after every beach session.
Yes. Salt and sand will destroy your inflatable paddle board if you ignore them. A five-minute rinse with fresh water after every trip is all it takes.
Salt water dries crusty and eats at the valve seals and glue seams. Sand grinds into the material when you roll it up, causing micro-abrasions that eventually lead to leaks. So rinse the board top and bottom, rinse the fin box, and wipe down the valves.
Let it dry fully before deflating and storing. Fold it loosely — don’t crease the same spot every time. Store in a cool, shaded place out of direct sunlight. That’s it. No special chemicals, no complicated routine.
If you do that, your board will last years. If you don’t, you’ll be patching leaks by midsummer.
