Roll, don’t fold, your mousepad.
Don’t fold it—roll it.
Folding creates a permanent crease that ruins glide. The fabric or coating gets compressed, and even if you flatten it later, that line never fully disappears. Rolling distributes stress evenly with no sharp bend.
If your bag has room, get a small tube or just roll it tightly and secure with a rubber band. If you absolutely must pack flat, put it between two rigid objects (laptop and notebook) so nothing bends it. But rolling is the move.
A rolled mousepad glides better and lasts longer.
