Roll it face-out, don’t fold.
Flat is best. If you have to move it, roll it with the fabric surface facing outward — never fold it.
Folding creates a permanent crease. Rolling it face-in (with the rubber backing on the outside) puts stress on the fabric and can cause the edges to curl. Rolling face-out keeps the surface smooth and the rubber backing naturally wants to stay flat. If you’re packing it in a bag, slide it into a tube or wrap it in a soft cloth to stop it from getting squished.
One more thing: avoid leaving it rolled up for weeks. Unroll it as soon as you can and let it rest flat overnight.
