Rolling Stones' First US #1 Album: Out of Our Heads

The Rolling Stones had only been recording for about two years when “Out of Our Heads” hit number one in the United States in July 1965. Their first US single was released in 1963, and their debut album came out in 1964 — so the climb was fast.

It was actually their third US album, but the first to top the Billboard 200. The album included early classics like “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and “The Last Time,” both recorded in a whirlwind of 1965 sessions.
