Rubbing alcohol, not nail polish remover

The best way to remove permanent marker from a plastic pencil case is rubbing alcohol. It dissolves the ink fast and won’t hurt most plastics.

Grab a cotton ball or soft cloth, wet it with isopropyl alcohol (70% or higher works fine), and rub the mark in small circles. It usually comes off in seconds. If you don’t have rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer is basically the same thing — it’s just alcohol gel.
