Shake it dry, then wash.
Let the towel dry completely first. Sand sticks to wet microfiber, but once dry, most of it shakes right off. Take it outside and give it a good snap and shake.
If there’s still sand after that, toss it in the washing machine with just a little detergent — no fabric softener, it ruins microfiber. Air dry or tumble dry on low. That’s it.
Don’t bother with a lint roller or tape. Dry-shake-wash handles it faster.
