Side brush replacement is a five-minute job.
Just unscrew the old brush and snap the new one in. You don’t need a technician.
The side brush on a Xiaomi (or Roborock) robot vac is held on by a single Phillips-head screw under the brush. Remove that, pull off the worn brush, line up the new one (the three-pronged kind, same shape), and screw it back in. That’s it.
Make sure you buy the right brush for your model. Most Xiaomi/Roborock vacuums use the same universal three-pronged brush, but a quick check of your model number never hurts. Worn bristles that are bent, frayed, or missing will leave corners dirty and reduce overall cleaning—so swap it when you see that happening.
Don’t bother with OEM vs. cheap knockoffs. The cheap ones work fine, just replace them a bit more often.
Five minutes and you’re back to not thinking about vacuuming.
