Skylon Tower wins for the postcard view.

Prospect Point gets you closer to the raw power of the American Falls, but Skylon Tower gives you the classic, wide-angle shot that shows you everything — both falls, the gorge, and the whole Horseshoe curve.

Prospect Point is on the US side at ground level, right at the edge of the American Falls. You feel the mist and the roar, and you can practically touch the water. It’s immersive. But you can’t see the full sweep of the Horseshoe Falls from there, and you’re looking up at everything.

Skylon Tower is 775 feet up on the Canadian side. You get the postcard view you’ve seen in every photo: the entire arc of the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls in the distance, the rainbow, the boats looking tiny below. It’s the “wow, that’s the view” moment.

If you only have time for one, do Skylon Tower. If you want to feel the falls in your bones, do Prospect Point and get wet. Both are worth it, but they’re different experiences.
