Soap and water fix a dirty whiteboard eraser
The best way to clean a whiteboard eraser is to wash it with warm soapy water, scrub it gently, and let it dry completely.
Dry erase ink is basically a waxy solvent that soaks into the felt pad. Water and a drop of dish soap break that up just fine. Use your fingers or an old toothbrush, work the suds through the felt, then rinse until the water runs clear. Don’t soak it — that can loosen the glue holding the pad to the base.
The trick most people miss: let it dry thoroughly. A damp eraser will smear and leave streaks no matter how clean it is. Give it a full day on a towel, and you’re good
