Soap isn't the enemy. Your pan might not even need reseasoning.

Modern dish soap is mild. Unless you’re scrubbing with steel wool every time, the seasoning is likely intact — just dull from years of use. If it’s still black and smooth, cook some bacon or fry an egg and move on.
If it looks patchy, rusty, or sticky, then reseason. Here’s the actual process: scrub off any loose flakes with a stiff brush and a little soap (yes, soap — it’s fine).
