Sogginess is a layering problem
Pack your taco bowl like a salad: wet stuff down, dry stuff up, and chips in a separate bag.
The main killer is condensation. Warm rice and beans release steam, and that moisture lands on everything else. So step one is to cook, assemble, and let everything cool completely before closing the lid. Then think about the order: salsa, sour cream, and guac go in a small container or a silicone muffin cup nested in the bowl. In the main bowl, put beans and rice at the bottom, meat on top of that, then cheese, and finally lettuce on top. The lettuce stays dry because itβs not touching the warm base. And for anything crunchy β tortilla chips or crispy strips β keep them completely separate and add them at lunchtime.
Don’t overcomplicate it. A bento box with compartments works, but a regular container plus a little sauce cup is enough. The trick is keeping moisture from migrating.
Future you deserves a crunchy bite.
