Spring is just winter with fewer layers.

Yes, you already have everything you need. The trick is to stop thinking of your clothes as “winter” or “spring” and start thinking of them as layers.

Take the heaviest piece off first — the parka, the thick wool coat, the thermal leggings. Wear your fall jacket instead. Swap the chunky knit for a lighter sweater or a long-sleeve tee under a cardigan. Same jeans, same boots, just one layer lighter. Roll up sleeves. Untuck your shirt. Let your ankles show.

Scarves and hats can stay if they’re cotton or linen — just ditch the wool ones. And if you have a dress you wore with tights in January, wear it without tights now. Done. You’re already spring-ready.

The only thing you might need to add is a light jacket for chilly evenings, but that’s probably in your closet too.
