Stick to soap and water for hybrid mousepads.

Don’t use isopropyl alcohol. It’ll change the surface texture – and not in a good way.

Cordura and other hybrid fabrics rely on a specific weave and sometimes a light coating to give you that balanced glide between speed and control. Alcohol dissolves oils effectively, but it also strips that coating over time. The surface becomes rougher, more abrasive, and the glide consistency falls apart.

Soap and water does the same cleaning job without attacking the fabric. A little diluted dish soap, a soft cloth, and some warm water. Let it air dry. That’s it.

If you’re desperate and out of soap, a quick alcohol wipe once won’t ruin it. But make it a habit and you’ll be shopping for a new pad in a few months.

Your glide is worth protecting.
