Stick with 32GB for gaming.
No. 64GB at the same speed won’t make your games any faster — and it might even hurt a little.
Gaming doesn’t use more than 32GB right now. Not even close. 16GB is still fine for most titles, 32GB is future-proof. 64GB just sits there empty while your CPU spends extra cycles managing all those memory slots.
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is already weird about memory because of the 3D V-cache — it cares less about raw RAM speed than other chips. Running two sticks (dual channel) is ideal for stability. Four sticks or two dual-rank sticks can sometimes cause the memory controller to run at lower speeds or worse timings. 6000MHz CL30 is the sweet spot, but only if you keep it to 32GB (2x16GB). Going to 64GB often means 2x32GB sticks, which can be harder to run stable at that speed.
If you need 64GB for video editing, virtual machines, or heavy productivity, sure. But for gaming? Waste of money. Spend that extra cash on a better GPU or faster storage.
Future You might appreciate the 64GB if your usage changes, but right now it’s dead weight in your rig.
