Summer sunsets are late; winter sunsets are early.
It changes dramatically. In summer, sunrise can be as early as 5:30 AM and sunset after 8 PM. Winter? Sunrise might be 7:30 AM, sunset before 5 PM. The tower’s “golden hour” moves with the calendar, not your schedule.
For summer, get there an hour before sunrise (4:30-5 AM) or two hours before sunset (6-7 PM). For winter, you’re looking at 6:30-7 AM for sunrise, or 3-4 PM for sunset. Check a sunrise/sunset app for the exact date—don’t guess.
Also, summer light is harsh at midday, but the low winter sun gives longer, softer glow. So winter sunsets are actually better for consistency.
Don’t show up at 6 PM in December thinking you have an hour.
