No, they’re not stuck forever. Dish soap will break down the oil in the sunscreen, then a cold wash takes the rest out. Rub a drop of dish soap right into the stain, let it sit for ten minutes, then rinse with cool water. If it’s still there, a soak in OxiClean (mixed with cold water) for an hour will finish the job.
Hot water sets the stain, so keep everything cold. And don’t scrub hard—swimwear fabric is fragile. Be gentle.
Your suit will be fine. Don’t let a little grease spot retire it early.
