Unless the invitation says “swimwear optional” or “beach party,” do not wear a swimsuit to the ceremony. Beach weddings are still weddings—people are taking photos and trying to look nice. Show up in a sundress, linen shirt, or something that covers you.

If there’s a beach portion later (reception on the sand, bonfire, whatever), bring a change. But you can usually skip buying something new. A solid-color cover-up or a simple bikini you already own works fine. Nobody’s judging your swimsuit choice during cocktail hour.
