Take the bridge to the First Sister for rapids.

The Luna Island bridge is basically a footpath to a viewpoint right at Bridal Veil Falls – you’re seeing the waterfall, not the rapids. The bridge to the First Sister Island (the one closest to Goat Island) puts you directly over the Upper Niagara River rapids. You can look upstream and see the churning, boiling water that leads to the brink. It’s the better rapids view by a long shot.

The Three Sisters Islands are small, connected by bridges, and the first one gives you that classic “standing in the middle of the rapids” feeling. Luna is fine if you want to be misted by a waterfall, but for rapids, head to Sister Islands.
