Yes, they are. Three Sisters Islands give you a great view of the rapids and Bridal Veil Falls, but for the American Falls up close, Terrapin Point and Luna Island are the spots.

Terrapin Point puts you right at the edge of the Canadian side, looking straight across at the American Falls. You get the full horseshoe and the mist. Luna Island sits between the American and Bridal Veil Falls on the US side—you can practically reach out and touch the water. Both give you that “holy shit” perspective.

Three Sisters Islands are worth the walk, but you’re looking upstream at the rapids and a side angle of the Falls. It’s a different vibe, not better for the main event. If you only have time for one, pick Terrapin or Luna. Your Instagram will thank you.
