Nobody. The credit for “The Great Gig in the Sky” is shared between Rick Wright (the piano) and Clare Torry (the vocal). She improvised that entire performance – no words, just notes and feeling.

A lot of people think the song has actual lyrics because they hear “I never said I was afraid to die” or something similar. That line appears in an earlier version of the album’s narrative, but it’s not in the final mix. What you hear on the record is pure vocalization, no text.
