Before Animals existed as a concept, Pink Floyd road-tested two long tracks during their 1974 Wish You Were Here tour. “Raving and Drooling” and “Gotta Be Crazy” were the prototypes for “Sheep” and “Dogs,” respectively. Both were played every night, often back-to-back as a mini-suite, making the 1974 shows the only time these early versions ever appeared together in a single setlist.
