The 3x3 is the only sticky note that matters
For studying, the best sticky notes are the big basic 3x3 ones.
Cute little square notes are for marking pages. They’re too small for the actual studying. You need enough room to write a concept, a formula, or a question you’re quizzing yourself on. A 3x3 gives you that without forcing you to write in font size 6.
Get lined if you can—your handwriting will stay straight without you thinking about it. Skip the weird shapes. You will not write neatly on a star, and the adhesive coverage on shaped notes is almost always patchy.
You don’t need the expensive brand, but avoid the dollar-store packs that curl up and fall off your textbook after three hours. Standard stickiness is fine. You want notes that stay stuck for a week, then peel off clean when the semester is over.
