The Beatles' last live performance was on a rooftop in London.

January 30, 1969 — on the roof of Apple Corps headquarters at 3 Savile Row, London.

They played for about 42 minutes before the police showed up and shut it down because of noise complaints. The set included songs like “Get Back,” “Don’t Let Me Down,” and “I’ve Got a Feeling.” It was spontaneous, slightly chaotic, and cold as hell up there. But it’s the only time they played live after August 1966.

That rooftop concert is the last time all four Beatles performed together in public. The footage ended up in the Let It Be documentary and later The Beatles: Get Back.

The cops ruined it, but it’s still the perfect ending.
