The Beatles nearly called it 'Abracadabra.

Yes, the original working title for Revolver was Abracadabra.

The band liked the word — it felt magical, fit the psychedelic vibe they were leaning into. But then someone pointed out that there was already a song called “Abracadabra” by a group called The Magic Circle. Legal headaches weren’t worth it, so they scrapped it.

Paul McCartney suggested Revolver — a pun on both a gun and a record revolving. The rest is history.

Good thing they changed it. Abracadabra sounds like a forgotten 70s novelty act.
