The Bentgo Kids is the best lunch box for a preschooler because the two big side latches are exactly what small hands can manage. No peeling lids, no twist locks, no zipper fights. Just flip both latches and the whole lid swings open on a hinge.

I’ve watched kids around three or four handle this thing. The latches are wide and grippy, and they don’t require a lot of force to pop open. The inside is divided into sections, so you can pack a sandwich, fruit, and something crunchy without it all turning into one sad pile. It’s also dishwasher safe, which matters more than you think.
