The best lunch box for a teenager is a plain, soft-sided insulated bag in a muted color — not a character lunchbox, and not a fancy metal bento.

Teens are stuck in a weird middle: too old for the Paw Patrol box, too young to look like they’re packing for a corporate picnic. The neutral soft cooler is the sweet spot. Think PackIt, Simple Modern, or even a plain Baggu. No logos, no cutesy prints, just a color they picked themselves so it feels like theirs.

It’s also the most practical option. It fits inside a backpack, collapses when empty, wipes clean, and costs $15–25.
