The “Circus Tent” was a circular lighting truss that Pink Floyd used on their 1974 British Winter Tour — the first full tour behind The Dark Side of the Moon. The design inspiration came directly from circus big tops and traveling shows. Instead of a traditional proscenium setup with lights only in front, the band wanted the lighting to wrap around the stage, creating a 360-degree immersive environment that put the audience inside the performance rather than watching it from one side.
